Episode 2 — “The Antikythera Mechanism: The 2,000-Year-Old Computer That Shouldn’t Exist”

In 1901, sponge divers off a small Greek island raised a corroded lump of bronze from an ancient shipwreck. Inside it were gears: a hand-cranked machine more than 2,000 years old that could predict eclipses and follow the cycles of the Sun, the Moon and the planets.

Cinematic documentaries that bring forgotten legends, myths and historical mysteries back to life — from the folklore of the Black Sea to the ancient machines that still puzzle scientists.
